Vivo Y36 Series With 50MP Camera Launched in Indonesia

The Vivo Y36 series, comprising the Vivo Y36 4G and Vivo Y36 5G, has made its debut in Indonesia. Both smartphones are nearly identical, save for the processor. The Y36 lineup features a 6.44-inch panel with a Full HD+ resolution, a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, and IP54 rating.

Vivo Y36 4G, Vivo Y36 5G: Features

Both the Vivo Y36 4G and Vivo Y36 5G sport a 6.44-inch IPS LCD display. The panel has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

Powering the Vivo Y36 4G is a Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 680 processor, while the Vivo Y36 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset. The smartphones come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. The internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card.

When it comes to imaging, the Vivo Y36 series features a dual camera setup, comprising a 50MP main camera and a 2MP ultrawide lens, accompanied by an LED flash. At the front, there's a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

As for the operating system, the Vivo Y36 series runs Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 out of the box. The smartphones feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. For security, there's a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The devices are IP54 rated for water and dust resistance.

Vivo Y36 Series Price, Availability

Pre-orders for the Vivo Y36 4G have already commenced in Indonesia and will go on till May 31. The smartphone costs IDR 3,399,000 (around ₹18,800) for the sole variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It comes in Glitter Aqua and Meteor Black colorways.

Meanwhile, Vivo hasn't released the pricing and availability details for the Vivo Y36 5G. The device comes in Crystal Green and Mystic Black color models. Both smartphones will be available for sale via the Vivo website and major e-commerce partners.

According to previous reports, the Vivo Y36 4G will debut in India later this month. The smartphone is rumored to cost between ₹18,000 and ₹20,000 when it launches in the country.
