Vivo is gearing up to unveil a new affordable smartphone in India today. However, despite its affordable price tag, the Vivo Y400 5G is expected to feature a stylish design and a compelling spec sheet. The Vivo Y400 5G is launching in India at 12 noon today.

According to past leaks, the Vivo Y400 5G price in India could start from under Rs 22,000. Our report notes that the Vivo Y400 5G price will start from Rs 21,999 for the base 8GB/128GB model and Rs 23,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant.

Vivo Y400 5G Specifications

The Y400 5G might feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display could achieve a peak brightness of 1800 nits. On the camera front, it may include a dual-camera system with a primary 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor and a secondary 2MP bokeh sensor.

For selfies and video calls, the front camera could be a 32MP shooter. The device is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, similar to other budget models like the Poco M7 and Lava Blaze Dragon.

A notable feature could be its battery capacity, which is expected to be larger than that of the Y400 Pro, potentially offering a 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging. The device is also expected to have an IP68 and IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. This would align it with other Vivo phones released this year in terms of durability standards.

Running on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, the phone is likely to include additional features such as stereo speakers and an optical fingerprint sensor under the display for unlocking purposes. The Y400 5G will be available in two colours: Glam White and Olive Green, as confirmed by Vivo.
