Vivo has now introduced their latest smartphone dubbed the Y51L in India. Initially launched last month in China, the latest mid-range smartphone from Vivo comes with a 7.5 mm slim body and a metal frame to the side.
Upfront the Vivo Y51L sports a 5 inch qHD (960x540p) IPS display along with the speaker grill, Vivo logo and three touch capacitive buttons. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU. This is clubbed with 2GB RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. There's also room for memory expansion via MicroSD card slot (upto 128GB).
In terms of camera the Vivo Y51L packs an 8MP f/2.0 rear camera equipped with LED Flash. This is further complimented by a 5MP f/2.4 selfie snapper. Other features include the common set of connectivity features including Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE support.
Powered by a 2350mAh battery, the Vivo Y51L comes in White and Black colours with a price tag of Rs 11,980. The smartphone will soon go on sale via online and offline retail outlets.
"The Indian smartphone market is tech savvy and price sensitive. The affordable segment is the growth driver, as the young generation today looks for a phone which is best in features, beautiful in design and is priced competitively. Last year, we witnessed huge sales and positive demand for products in the budget range across markets, which boosted us to launch the Y51L. The new launch will further strengthen our hold on the market and help us establish ourselves among our consumers," stated Alex Feng, CEO, Vivo India.
