Last year, just before the MWC 2017 tech show, Vivo launched a new smartphone called Vivo Y55s at a price point of Rs. 12,490 in the Indian market. Now, it looks like this smartphone has received a price cut of Rs. 1,500 taking it down to Rs. 10,990. Though there is no official confirmation from Vivo India regarding the price cut or any other discount in this smartphone, the same is reflected online as the Flipkart and Amazon India listings of the device show the new price tag of Rs. 10,990.
According to the Mumbai-based mobile phone retailer Mahesh Telecom, the Vivo Y55s that is almost a year old in the Indian market has received a price cut as mentioned above. The retailer has taken to his social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to reveal this information. Notably, the smartphone is available three color variants - Crown Gold, Grey, and Matte Black.
Having said that, let's move on to the specifications of the Vivo Y55s. The smartphone arrives with a 5.2-inch HD 720p 2.5D curved glass display. Under its hood, there operates a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor that is teamed up with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB RAM. The default memory capacity is 16GB and it can be expanded further up to 256GB using a microSD card.
