The cover of the May issue of Vogue was shot on the OnePlus 6 and the detailing has left us baffled. OnePlus 6 seems like the next big thing in the smartphone camera segment.

The world has seen what smartphones can achieve, especially in the camera department which has shown some significant developments in the last few years. Until now, we have mostly used our smartphone cameras for casual tasks that largely comprises of taking pictures and shooting videos to post on social networking apps. It was just now when we came across this cover shoot on Vogue's latest edition which gave us an idea of what a smartphone camera can accomplish in modern times.

In India's first-ever magazine cover shot on a smartphone, fashion and portrait photographer, ErrikosAndreou gave us a glimpse of the camera prowess of the upcoming OnePlus 6. Erik conducted an entire photo shoot featuring the popular Bollywood actress, Aditi Rao Hydarion the upcoming OnePlus 6. The detailing in the cover shot has left us baffled. The image on the cover of the May edition of Vogue shows the stunningly beautiful Aditi Rao Hydari in a causal outfit enjoying a lazy summer day.

The image was shot in Su Casa, Mumbai and gives us a clear glimpse of OnePlus 6's camera abilities. It shows how beautifully OnePlus 6 has captured the colours. The white, blue, and hues of yellow and pink show the required warmth and depth.The image also portrays a pleasing bokeh effect where the actress is seen in pin sharp focus and the background diffuses beautifully without creating any unnatural edges.

ErrikosAndreouhas shot various Vogue covers with the likes of Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor and is himself quite stunned by the results in his first-ever cover shot by a smartphone. He says,"As professionals, we are used to having chunky heavy cameras to shoot for assignments. So, the biggest advantage of shooting with a smartphone is the convenient size of the device and the resulting ease of portability."

Erik also shed some light on the technicalities of a professional shot accomplished on a smartphone. He hinted towards the crisp FHD+ display of OnePlus 6 which helped him monitor the exact scene even before taking the shot. For the cover shot, the photographer opted for naturally lit photos, using bouncers to manipulate the light. Erik also informed about the OnePlus 6 camera's 'Pro' mode.

He said that the OnePlus 6's camera shots in 'Raw' format with added information, which is of great importance for a professional photographer. This allows modification of images once they are captured for further enhancements. With OnePlus 6, you would be able to alter several of images' aspects like light, warmth, brightness, contrast, colour, etc; much like the file of a professional camera.

In short, the images out on the Vogue cover shows that OnePlus 6 will indeed set new benchmarks in the camera segment. But OnePlus 6 will be much more than just an excellent camera handset. The company is creating an experience where users will be met with a fluid, quick and seamless experience.
