Last week we have seen some pretty big announcements from tech giants like Samsung, Google and Xiaomi. The Chinese-based smartphone maker Xiaomi rolled out its first 'Made in India' smartphone called Redmi 2 Prime to the Indian market.
The South Korean smartphone giant announced its flagship phablets: Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, Samsung Pay service and more at its Unpacked event last week. While, the Indian born, Sundar Pichai has became the CEO of the core business of Google as the search giant in a major corporate restructuring formed an umbrella company called Alphabet.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Samsung took the wraps off the massive device - the Galaxy Note 5 at its Unpacked event in New York City. The Galaxy Note 5 sports a 5.7 inch QHD Super AMOLED display at 2560x1440 pixel resolution, which is the same as the Note 4. The phablet is powered by an Exynos 7420 processor with 4GB of RAM and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes with the bigger variant, RAM and battery backup compared to its predecessor current Galaxy S6 Edge. The smartphone sports a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with dual-curve on both sides, which works into 518ppi. It is powered by Octa-Core Exynos 7420 processor with 4x Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz and 4x Cortex-A57 at 2.1GHz with Mali-T760MP8 GPU besides 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. Know more.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime is the company's first smartphone that is made in India. The smartphone comes with a 4.7 inch IPS HD display at a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, with the AGC Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection on top. Oppo Mirror 5 entered the Indian smartphone market last week. The smartphone features a 5 inch TFT display offering 960x540 pixel resolution. Phicomm launched Energy 653 in the Indian market. The smartphone supports dual-SIM, 4G LTE connectivity packed at an affordable price tag of Rs. 4,999. The handset sports a sports a 5 inch HD display at a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Panasonic Eluga Icon
The Panasonic Eluga Icon sports a 5.5 inch IPS HD display offering 1280x720 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.5GHz True Octa-Core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded on microSD card. Blackberry has launched its luxury smartphone in the Indian market, dubbed as Porsche Design P9983 Graphite. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 99,990 and will be available in selected retail store in India. The smartphone sports a 3.1 inch 24-bit color OLED display with 720x720 pixels resolution.
