Andy Rubin led smartphone developer brand Essential plans on shipping the white color variant of its premium category competitor the Essential PH1 next week. Consumers who had pre-ordered the smartphone in the white color variant received an email from the brand. The email informed consumers that the device will start shipping next week. Essential also tweeted that the handset will be available through Best Buy, Amazon, and Sprint.

The variant is being shipped two months after the release of the black model. The smartphone brand came out with the promise to offer a mobile phone with innovative features that would compete with premium mobile phone brands available to date. Its bezel-less display and unique design were the reasons why it instantly gained consumer support.
However, the delay in shipment eventually made it lose attention from enthusiasts. The black variant of the handset came out on August 25, 2017, which was still a couple of months late than the initially promised date. The white version of the device is yet another couple of months late than the actual launch date.
It is still not clear what caused the delay in the release of the latest version of PH1. Moreover, the Essential PH-1 came out before the 2017 flagships from Samsung and Apple and no wonder the latter stole its thunder with the introduction of a new product line-up.
However, with the shipment of the white colored Essential PH-1 ready to sail we can expect that Rubin's brand will come up with a soft launch for the device.
