Xiaomi 13 Ultra arrives three new Leica-inspired colour options

Xiaomi recently released new colour options for its flagship 'Ultra' smartphone. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra was previously offered in Black, White and Olive Green colour options. And now, the Chinese smartphone maker is adding three new colours to the fray.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is now available in Starry Sky Blue, Cabernet Orange, and Ginkgo Yellow. Another unique aspect of the three new colours is the black aluminium frame, while the camera ring now features a dark graphite colour as compared to the brass ring on the original colours.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Price

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra price is set at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs 71,000) for the base 12GB/256GB model. The phone also comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations that will set you back CNY 6,499 (roughly Rs 76,950) and CNY 7,299 (roughly Rs 86,400), respectively. It is worth noting that the new colours only come in the 16GB/512GB trim.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra was unveiled back in April 2023 as the most premium smartphone in the 13 series. To recall, the vanilla Xiaomi 13 arrived in several attractive colours when it was revealed in China back in December 2022 alongside the Xiaomi 13 Pro.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Specifications

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra sports a 6.73-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED panel with curved edges. The screen supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and boasts a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. You also get a 120Hz variable refresh rate.

For optics, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra features a 1-inch Sony IMX989 50MP primary camera. The sensor features a variable aperture that can be adjusted to f/1.9 or f/4.0. The main camera is accompanied by a 50MP Sony IMX858 ultra-wide lens, along with two 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto sensors with 2.5x and 5x optical zoom.

Up front, there's a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. When it comes to imaging, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra features a Leica Vario-Summicron lens. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra features a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone boots Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.
