Xiaomi 14 Launched in India with Leica Cameras, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC: Check Price, Specs, Offers

The Xiaomi 14 is the latest flagship smartphone to hit the Indian market. Xiaomi has made a strategic decision to introduce the vanilla version of its flagship smartphone in India this time out, a shift from the past couple of years, where only the Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Pro were unveiled in the country.

The Xiaomi 14 arrives with Lecia cameras, an LTPO OLED display, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a sizeable 4610mAh battery with both wired and wireless fast charging support, and the company's new HyperOS Android skin. At its current price, the Xiaomi 14 will compete against the likes of the iPhone 15, Samsung Galaxy S23, Pixel 8, and OnePlus 12 5G.

What does the Xiaomi 14 Offer?

Despite its small size, the Xiaomi 14 packs a ton of power courtesy of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. To further bolster performance, the chip is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Additionally, up to 6GB of unused storage can be utilized as virtual RAM.
To improve peak sustained performance, the handset also features a new and improved cooling system. The handset runs Android 14-based HyperOS with Xiaomi promising four major OS updates and five years of regular security updates. It also packs a 4,610 mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

The Xiaomi 14 is equipped with 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits and enhanced eye protection. The screen also features an adaptive 1Hz - 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1920Hz PWM dimming. Xiaomi's flagship smartphone also packs dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Xiaomi is yet to confirm the glass used to protect the rear panel, although the screen is safeguarded by Gorilla Glass Victus. Moreover, the phone has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The Xiaomi 14 uses an aluminum frame. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, and more.

For optics, the Xiaomi 14 gets a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP Leica ultra-dynamic main camera that uses a custom Hunter 900 sensor that features an aperture f/1.62, 2.4μm large pixel output, 23mm equivalent focal length, and OIS support.

The main camera is paired with a 50 MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, autofocus, and a 115-degree FOV. Lastly, there's a 50 MP Leica 75mm floating telephoto lens with a 75mm equivalent focal length, and OIS support. The Xiaomi 14 can record 4K video in up to 60fps or 8K video up to 30fps. Lastly, there's a 32 MP selfie snapper up front that supports 4K video recording up to 60fps.

The Xiaomi 14 comes in only one variant, offering 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage at a price of Rs 69,999. Xiaomi is throwing in an ICICI bank offer which slashes Rs 5,000 off and there is a Rs 5,000 exchange bonus, effectively reducing the price to Rs 59,999.
