Xiaomi 14 Launching With Android 14: MIUI 15 Being Tested Internally For Flagship Android Smartphones

Xiaomi has been readying the Xiaomi 14 series smartphones, believed to include the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro. These premium and flagship Android phones should boot Android 14-based MIUI 15 out of the box.

The upcoming Xiaomi 14 series should pack top-end hardware. These no-compromise smartphones haven't been officially announced yet but leaked internal documents indicate Xiaomi is planning to offer these smartphones with the latest Android operating system.

MIUI 15 Custom Layer Based On Android 14 Being Tested

The Xiaomi 14 series smartphones will launch in multiple regions. In other words, unlike the Redmi K60 Ultra, the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro will be global smartphones. Moreover, they will run MIUI 15, which is based on Android 14, right out of the retail box.

Xiaomi is testing stable versions of the MIUI 15 OS. The MIUI 15 Update is based on Android 14 primarily because MIUI 13 and MIUI 14 were based on Android 13.

Android 14-based MIUI 15 is currently being tested on the European ROM, as indicated by the screenshot above. The last internal MIUI builds are tagged "MIUI-V15.0.0.1.UNCEUXM" and "MIUI-V15.0.0.1.UNBEUXM". These builds strongly indicate the stable version of MIUI 15 is almost ready for deployment.

Xiaomi 14 Series Smartphones Expected Launch, Specifications, Features (Rumored)

Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi 14 series smartphones before the end of this year. Some reports suggest the Chinese tech giant has already begun mass producing the smartphones under this series.

Xiaomi may launch the flagship smartphones in November. Needless to say, Xiaomi hasn't officially acknowledged the existence of the Xiaomi 14 series but is reportedly ramping up production by as much as 60 percent to meet expected demand.

The Xiaomi 14 series smartphones are top-end premium and no-compromise devices. Hence, Xiaomi should embed the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm in them.

In other words, Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This chipset could be paired with up to 24GB RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. According to a leak, there won't be any entry-level variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Both smartphones may feature AMOLED displays with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. These devices could pack 5000mAh battery packs. However, the Pro variant could support faster wired charging technology.

Both Xiaomi 14 series smartphones are tipped to support up to 50W wireless charging. Based on the leaked MIUI 15 news, these smartphones would run Android 14 at the time of their launch.
