The Chinese tech giant confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 series will be the first smartphone to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The new Xiaomi 14 series will feature a variable aperture camera, co-developed with Lecia.

Xiaomi also recently took to Chinese social media platform Weibo, to reveal key details about the specifications and design of the Xiaomi 14 Series. The design of the Xiaomi 14 series appears to be the same as its predecessor. A white variant of the Xiaomi 14 was teased on Weibo.

The posters show a square-shaped camera module on the back with three lenses and what appears to be a stainless-steel frame. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are said to feature three 50 MP camera sensors co-developed with Leica. The company also posted sample shots taken on the Xiaomi 14.

Moreover, rumors also suggest that the Xiaomi 14 series will feature a 2K OLED display with an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will also feature sizeable batteries as well as super-fast wired and wireless charging support. The Xiaomi 14 series will also likely feature an IP rating for dust and water resistance.
