Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra Reportedly Going on Sale on March 18, Following the Launch Ahead of MWC 2025

The Xiaomi 15 series is set to debut globally in March during the Mobile World Congress (MWC). This lineup will feature the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and likely the standard Xiaomi 15. As anticipation builds, a tipster has hinted at the sale date for these models in India. The company plans to announce pricing in the third week of March.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) shared on X that Xiaomi will reveal Indian prices for the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra on March 18. According to him, sales in India will commence on March 21. Previously, Xiaomi teased that the series, including the new Ultra model, would launch on March 2 at MWC 2025 in Barcelona.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra was earlier seen on Geekbench AI with Android 15, featuring 16GB RAM and an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It is expected to have a quad rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 sensor, a Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultra-wide camera, a Sony IMX858 telephoto sensor, and a Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor with optical zoom. It meets IP68 + IP69 standards.

In China, pre-orders for the phone are currently being accepted through Mi Mall. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is confirmed to launch later this month alongside the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra EV in its home country. The launch might occur on February 26.

Xiaomi 15 Key Features

Unveiled in China last October alongside the Xiaomi 15 Pro, which remains exclusive to China, the standard model runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. It features a 6.36-inch OLED display with peak brightness of 3,200 nits and boasts a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup led by a primary sensor of 50 megapixels. It holds an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

India's premium mobile market saw a significant rise of 36 percent year-on-year in 2024 according to CMR. This growth reflects increasing consumer interest in high-end smartphones like those from Xiaomi's latest series.

The global launch date for the Xiaomi 15 series has been set, and images of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra design have leaked online.
