Xiaomi 15 India Launch Just Around the Corner After Recent BIS Certification: Report

The Xiaomi 15 is anticipated to debut in India soon. Although there hasn't been any official confirmation, the smartphone was spotted on the BIS platform with the number 24129PN74I, as reported by 91Mobiles. This suggests that its launch might be imminent.

Xiaomi 15 Specifications

The Xiaomi 15 has already made its debut in China. It is likely that the Indian version will share similar specifications with the Chinese model. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a maximum of 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

The Xiaomi 15 boasts a significant battery upgrade compared to its predecessor. It now features a 5,400mAh battery using Silicon-Carbon technology. This battery supports fast charging options: 90W wired, 50W wireless, and introduces a new 30W magnetic wireless charging feature.

Additionally, it includes a Xiaomi G1 battery management chip which ensures that the battery retains 80% of its capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles. The display of the Xiaomi 15 is a standout feature. It sports a flat 6.36-inch LTPO OLED panel with an impressive resolution of 1.5K (1,200 x 2,670 pixels). The screen also offers an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz, alongside a peak brightness reaching up to 3,200 nits.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Leica-branded triple-camera setup on the Xiaomi 15. It includes a Summilux lens with three sensors: a primary Light Fusion sensor at 50MP with OIS support and an f/1.62 aperture; a Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens at another 50MP; and a Samsung JN5 telephoto shooter offering an f/2.0 aperture and OIS with 'lossless' zoom capabilities up to five times.

The front camera is equipped with a robust OV32B40 sensor at 32MP for high-quality selfies and video calls. This ensures that users can capture detailed images from both sides of the device.

Xiaomi 15 India Launch Details (Expected)

While only the standard Xiaomi 15 appears on the BIS listing, there's no mention of its Pro variant which launched alongside it in China. For instance, only the Xiaomi 14 was released in India without its Pro counterpart. Given that, the brand may not bring the Xiaomi 15 Pro. Also, there is no hint regarding the launch timeline of the Xiaomi 15 at this moment.
