Xiaomi 15 Full Specifications Revealed Ahead of Official Debut: Check Expected Pricing, Launch Timeline

The Xiaomi 15 series is tipped to make its debut in China next week. The line-up will include the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, while the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to arrive sometime in the first quarter of 2025.

While rumours about Xiaomi 15 Pro have been doing the rounds for quite a while, the latest comes in the form of a full specs reveal for the vanilla Xiaomi 15. The leak comes courtesy of tipster Yogesh Brar, who gives us the most detailed look at the Xiaomi 15 yet.

Xiaomi 15 Specifications Tipped

According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 15 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset (Snapdragon 8 Gen 4). The Xiaomi 15 is also expected to debut as the first smartphone to use the upcoming flagship Snapdragon chip. Rumors also indicate that the phone will come with up to 16GB of LPPDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Additionally, the phone could also sport a 6.36-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Despite its size, the Xiaomi 15 is touted to pack a massive 5,500 mAh battery with 90W wired and 55W wireless fast charging support. The handset will also run Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0, the latest iteration of Xiaomi's software skin.

For optics, the Xiaomi 15 will feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP Omnivision OV50H sensor at the helm. The main camera will be paired with a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP telephoto unit with 3.2x optical zoom. Up front, the Xiaomi 15 will have a 32MP selfie camera.

Like its predecessor, the camera setup on the Xiaomi 15 will be co-developed with Leica. Lastly, the tipster also notes that the Xiaomi 15 will feature an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water. Brar's post does suggests that the Xiaomi 15's specifications will mirror that of the Xiaomi 14, with some minor differences.

Xiaomi 15 Launch Timeline, Expected Pricing

The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to make its debut in China following the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset at Qualcomm's Snapdragon event on October 22. As of now, no official date has been provided, but we could see the Xiaomi 15 series as early as October 23.

According to previous reports, the Xiaomi 15 price in China is expected to start from CNY 4,599 (roughly Rs 54,400). On the other hand, the Xiaomi 15 Pro price in China is expected to start from CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs 62,700).
