The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to go official in the first quarter of next year. While the brand has not confirmed any details about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, leaks and rumours have shed some light on what to expect from the upcoming flagship smartphone.

Now, the latest information has shared the camera specs of the next-gen Ultra model, hinting at an upgraded telephoto camera. Here's what the new leak suggests about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

The latest info shared by tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that Xiaomi's upcoming flagship will offer a quad-camera setup including three 50MP cameras and an impressive 200MP telephoto lens, an upgrade over the 50MP periscope telephoto featured on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra's telephoto camera will likely feature low-light telephoto and ultra-telephoto macro modes. A previous report also suggested it will support 10x optical zoom, as opposed to the 5x optical zoom capability available on its precursor Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

Moreover, the brand is expected to use an upgraded version of the Sony LYT-900 camera sensor for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's main camera, which will offer better low-light performance. Upfront, the phone is rumoured to opt for a 50MP selfie camera to replace the 32MP front camera available on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

In addition to the upgraded cameras, the device is most likely to ship with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, which will be announced at the Snapdragon Summit in October 2024. The next-gen chip from Qualcomm is confirmed to come with the company's custom Oryon CPU with an improved NPU performance.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra could also use a micro-curvature design and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. Other features might include a 2K display, Android 15, and a 6,200mAh battery.
