Xiaomi 15 Ultra Tipped to Feature Self-developed ‘Small Surge’ Chip in a New Leak
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the upcoming flagship from the brand. While the company hasn't yet confirmed the launch of the phone, leaks suggest it will be arriving during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025.
Now, a new leak has surfaced online, revealing the self-developed Small Surge chip. Here's what the new leak suggests.

According to the tipster @That_Kartikey, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be launching with a new self-developed chipset. While he hasn't shared the exact details of this chipset, Gizmochina suggests that the new "small surge" chip may help in the battery management system, and improve battery life including charging time.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: What We Know So Far
As far as the features are concerned, rumours suggest the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have a super-large macro lens with a focusing distance of around 10cm. The phone will come with a new photography kit.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra could feature a quad rear camera setup accompanied by a red-circle design. It is rumoured to offer a 50MP main sensor with a one-inch size, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 200MP telephoto shooter supporting up to 4.3x optical zoom.
Moreover, the device could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. On the software front, it might ship with Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0. Lastly, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. As of now, the battery and display features are still unknown.
