Xiaomi 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, Leica Cameras, HyperOS 2 Launched: Check Price and Specifications
Xiaomi has officially launched its next-gen flagship smartphones in China. The Xiaomi 15 series debut as the first smartphone to use the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The line-up includes the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.
Apart from the Xiaomi 15 series, the brand also unveiled the Xiaomi SU7 and SU7 Ultra EVs, HyperOS 2.0, the Xiaomi Pad 7 series, the Xiaomi Watch S4 and Xiaomi Band 9 Pro, along with several other products. However, our focus today is on the Xiaomi 15.

Xiaomi 15 Price, Colour Options
The Xiaomi 15 price in China starts from CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs 53,000) for the base 12GB/256GB model. Moreover, the phone also comes in a 12GB/512GB, a 16GB/512GB, and a 16GB/1TB configuration that costs CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs 56,550), CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 58,900), and CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs 64,800), respectively.
Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 Custom Edition is priced at CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 58,900) for the sole 16GB/512GB variant. The Xiaomi 15 is offered in Asakusa Green, Black, and White shades. Moreover, it also comes in a Diamond Limited Edition variant that cost CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs 70,700) for the sole 16GB/512GB configuration. Xiaomi 15 Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Xiaomi 15 also gets a massive battery upgrade over its predecessor, now opting for a 5,400 mAh cell that uses Silicon-Carbon technology. The battery supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support, although it also introduces 30W magnetic wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 15 also packs a Xiaomi G1 battery management chip ensuring it maintains 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, similar to what we saw on the Xiaomi 14 CIVI (Review). The Xiaomi 15 sports a 6.36-inch flat 8T LTPO OLED panel with a 1.5K (1,200 x 2,670 pixels) resolution. The screen also features an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits.
For optics, the Xiaomi 15 features a Leica-branded triple-camera setup with a Summilux lens. The setup consists of a 50MP Light Fusion 900 1/1.31" primary sensor with an f/1.62 aperture and OIS support along with a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto shooter with an f/2.0 aperture, a 60mm local length, OIS, and 5x 'lossless' zoom. Up front, the Xiaomi 15 opts for a 32MP OV32B40 selfie camera.
The Xiaomi 15 features a metal frame and an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water. Moreover, the Xiaomi 15's front Dragon Crystal glass is 10 times stronger than Gorilla Glass Victus. It also runs Android 15-based HyperOS 2. The phone packs dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. Connectivity options for the Xiaomi 15 include Wi-Fi 7, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, 5G, 4G, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, and more.
