Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Ultra Go Global with Lecia Cameras, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC: India Launch Date Confirmed

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has officially been unveiled globally alongside the Xiaomi 15. Unfortunately, the Xiaomi 15 Pro's launch appears to be limited to China. To recall, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra only recently made its debut in China.

Xiaomi 15, 15 Ultra Pricing, Launch Date in India

The Xiaomi 15 price in Europe starts from EUR 999.99 (roughly Rs 90,700) for the 12GB/256GB model. Moreover, the Liquid Silver variant of the Xiaomi 15 is priced at EUR 1,099 (roughly Rs 99,800). The Xiaomi 15 is also offered in Black, Green, and White shades.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra price in Europe starts from EUR 1,499.99 (roughly Rs 1,36,150) for the 16GB/512GB variant. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes in White, Black, Chrome Silver shades. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra can also be paired with the Photography Kit, which costs EUR 200 (roughly Rs 18,150).

The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra are currently rolling out in several countries across Europe. Additionally, the brand has confirmed that the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will launch in India on March 11.

This device boasts a 6.73-inch 2K TCL C9 OLED LTPO display, offering an impressive peak brightness of 3200 nits and supporting both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The screen features a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz, along with 1920Hz PWM dimming for an enhanced viewing experience.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It also integrates a dual-channel wing-shaped cold pump cooling system with a vapor-liquid separation design to keep the performance steady. A standout feature is the Xiaomi Star Communication, enabling two-way calls over distances of up to 7km without the need for a network connection.

The camera setup on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is equally impressive, with a 50MP Leica main camera featuring a next-gen ultra-large sensor, offering a 14EV native dynamic range and optical image stabilization (OIS). Alongside it, there's a 50MP Leica ultra-wide-angle camera equipped with a JN5 image sensor and 5cm super macro capabilities.

The device also includes a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with an HP9 image sensor, providing up to 4.3x optical zoom. The camera system benefits from a floating telephoto lens and macro functionality, while supporting movie-grade video recording with ACES LOG and an anti-shake system developed by Xiaomi.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra's design features a unibody metal frame with Dragon Crystal Glass protection version 2.0. It houses a 5410mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, offering 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging, along with reverse wireless charging support.

This device also comes with dual SIM support and a variety of advanced connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB Type-C audio, Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and satellite communication capabilities.

The Xiaomi 15 is equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, offering up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. A notable upgrade over its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15 now features a 5,400mAh battery using Silicon-Carbon technology. This battery supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, along with the addition of 30W magnetic wireless charging.

To ensure longevity, the Xiaomi 15 is also fitted with a Xiaomi G1 battery management chip, which guarantees that the battery retains 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, similar to the Xiaomi 14 CIVI. The device sports a 6.36-inch flat 8T LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (1,200 x 2,670 pixels). The screen features an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits for an exceptional viewing experience.

On the photography front, the Xiaomi 15 is equipped with a Leica-branded triple-camera setup featuring a Summilux lens. The primary camera includes a 50MP Light Fusion 900 1/1.31" sensor with an f/1.62 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). Alongside this, there's a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide camera and a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 60mm focal length, OIS, and 5x 'lossless' zoom. For selfies, the Xiaomi 15 offers a 32MP OV32B40 front-facing camera.

The device boasts a robust metal frame and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The front is protected by Dragon Crystal glass, which is 10 times stronger than Gorilla Glass Victus. It runs on Android 15, layered with Xiaomi's HyperOS 2. The Xiaomi 15 also features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support, ensuring an immersive sound experience.
