Xiaomi 15S Pro Ditches Snapdragon and MediaTek for Proprietary XRING 01 Chip: Check Price and Specifications

Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15S Pro, during its 15th anniversary celebration in China. This device features the company's proprietary XRING 01 10-Core 3nm chip, which includes a 16-core Immortalis-G925 GPU. The phone boasts an impressive AnTuTu score exceeding three million.

The Xiaomi 15S Pro retains several features from its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15 Pro. It sports a 6.73-inch 2K M9 OLED LTPO display with a peak brightness of 3200 nits and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz. The screen is protected by Xiaomi Ceramic Glass protection 2.0 and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Advanced Camera System

The smartphone's camera system includes triple rear cameras with Leica Summilux lenses. It features a primary 50MP sensor with a large f/1.62 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera offering 5X optical zoom. The XRING 01 ISP v4 imaging processor can handle up to 8.7 billion pixels per second.

For photography enthusiasts, the rear camera setup offers advanced capabilities such as Hyper OIS and LED flash. Additionally, it supports video recording at resolutions up to 8K. On the front, there is a 32MP camera equipped with an OmniVision OV32B40 sensor capable of recording in 4K at 60 fps.

Battery and Charging Features

The device is powered by a substantial 6100mAh battery with an energy density of 850Wh/L. It supports rapid charging options including 90W wired charging and both wireless and magnetic wireless charging at up to 50W.

In terms of performance, the phone is equipped with up to a maximum clock speed of up to 3.9GHz on its XRING 01 SoC. It also includes up to 16GB of LPPDDR5x RAM paired with either 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The Xiaomi HyperOS version installed on this device ensures smooth operation across various applications. Connectivity options include support for Dual SIM (nano + nano), Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth versioning up to v5.4, NFC, and GPS systems like Beidou and NavIC.

The phone's design incorporates an aviation-grade aluminium frame along with a wing-shaped cold pump cooling system for efficient heat dissipation over an area of 4053mm². It measures dimensions of approximately 161.3×75.3×8.33mm and weighs around 216 grams.

The Xiaomi 15S Pro price in China starts from 5499 yuan (approximately USD 763 or Rs 65,600) for the model featuring 16GB RAM plus 512GB storage capacity while top end 16GB/1TB variant costs 5,999 yuan (USD 832 or Rs 71,600).
