Xiaomi 16 New Leak
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 16 will be powered by the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, which will be unveiled at Qualcomm's next Snapdragon Summit in September. The same processor may run the Xiaomi 16 Pro; however, rumours suggest both the Xiaomi 16s Pro and the 16 Ultra will ship with the in-house XRING O1 chip.
In terms of optics, the Xiaomi 16 is rumoured to sport a triple 50MP setup, including a 1/1.3-inch primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens with macro capabilities. The new leak suggests the device could pack a battery with a capacity of over 6,500mAh. Earlier leaks revealed it will have a 6,800mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
Moreover, it's expected to feature a 6.3-inch flat OLED panel with ultra-slim bezels on all four sides. On the software front, the phone will reportedly run Android 16 out of the box, layered with Xiaomi's upcoming HyperOS 3.0. An earlier leaked render also reveals a dual-tone back design, featuring a darker section that could potentially house a cut-out for the wireless charging coil.
As far as the launch is concerned, the Xiaomi 16 is likely to launch alongside the Xiaomi 16 Pro later this year. However, reports suggest that the Pro variant may be exclusive to the Chinese market. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 16 Ultra is rumoured to make its debut in early 2026. Since all are speculations, we'd suggest you take it with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more information surrounding the Xiaomi 16.
