Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra India Launch Timeline Tipped Again, Xiaomi 17T May Launch Later
Xiaomi’s next flagship phones are clearly on the way to India, but the launch timeline may have shifted. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 have reportedly received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards, which usually signals that a release is being prepared. Earlier leaks pointed to a January or February launch window. Now, a newer tip suggests that Indian buyers might see these phones a little later in 2026.

Adding to that, the Xiaomi 17T is also said to be part of Xiaomi’s India plans, though it may not arrive at the same time as the other two models.
India Launch Timeline May Move to March
Tipster Abhishek Yadav now claims that Xiaomi could launch the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 in India around March 2026. The same source suggests that the Xiaomi 17T could follow about a month later. Even the tipster has flagged some uncertainty around this timeline, so it’s not a done deal yet.
This would be a change from earlier claims that suggested a much earlier India debut in January or February.
Global Launch Context
There’s some official context worth keeping in mind. Xiaomi Group Vice President and CMO Xu Fei has already confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will launch in select global markets in January 2026. Xiaomi hasn’t said whether India is part of that initial rollout.

If the newer leak turns out to be accurate, India could see the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 roughly two months after their global debut.
Quick Recap of the Xiaomi 17 Series
