Xiaomi 18 Fold Launched with Xring O3 AI Chip, Leica Cameras, Android 17: Check Price & Specifications

Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 18 Fold in China as its latest book-style foldable smartphone. The new foldable arrives shortly after the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and adopts a wider, more compact design compared to conventional tall foldable phones. It packs a 7.58-inch inner display, Xiaomi's Xring O3 flagship chipset, Leica-backed cameras, and a large 6,000mAh battery.

Xiaomi has also opened pre-orders for the 18 Fold in China, with sales set to begin later this month.

Xiaomi 18 Fold Price and Availability

The Xiaomi 18 Fold starts at CNY 10,999 (roughly Rs. 1,55,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 11,999 (roughly Rs. 1,69,000), while the 16GB + 512GB version is priced at CNY 12,999 (roughly Rs. 1,83,000).

The top-end 16GB + 1TB model with LPDDR6 RAM costs CNY 14,999 (roughly Rs. 2,11,300). Xiaomi is also offering a Ceramic Special Edition with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage for CNY 15,999 (roughly Rs. 2,25,400).

The Xiaomi 18 Fold comes in Black, Nishino Red, and Warm Gold White colour options.

Xiaomi 18 Fold Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi 18 Fold features a 5.38-inch AMOLED cover display and a larger 7.58-inch foldable AMOLED inner screen. Both displays offer a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness. The cover screen is protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0, while the inner display uses flexible ultra-thin glass and low-power Pol-less technology.

Under the hood, the foldable is powered by Xiaomi's 3nm deca-core Xring O3 AI flagship chipset. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, while the top-end variant gets LPDDR6 memory. The device runs Android 17-based HyperOS 4.

For photography, the Xiaomi 18 Fold packs a Leica-tuned triple-camera setup. It includes a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The phone also features 16MP selfie cameras on both the inner and outer displays.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold houses a 6,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. It also offers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, 5G, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and IP58/IP59 dust and water resistance. The foldable measures just 5.02mm when unfolded, 10.68mm when folded, and weighs 219g.
