Xiaomi is accelerating its rollout of HyperOS, the company's new Android-based operating system. Following its initial launch in India at the end of February, Xiaomi has announced a significant expansion planned for Q2 2024. This update promises to enhance user experience across a wider range of Xiaomi and Redmi devices.
Complete List
The upcoming rollout encompasses a diverse selection of smartphones and tablets. This ensures a broader user base can experience the benefits of HyperOS. The list includes popular models like the Xiaomi 11 series (Lite, 11i, 11i HyperCharge, 11T Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 10), Redmi K50i, Redmi 12 series, Redmi 11 Prime, the entire Redmi Note 11 series, and the Redmi 13C series. Notably, the Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet will also receive the update.

Enhanced Performance and User Experience
HyperOS focuses on improving core functionalities. Users can expect smoother system performance, faster task switching, and more reliable message delivery. Additionally, the update reduces the system's storage footprint. This translates to smaller and quicker over-the-air (OTA) updates compared to MIUI 14, Xiaomi's previous operating system.
Beyond performance improvements, HyperOS introduces aesthetic and functional upgrades. Users can expect lock screen customization options, a redesigned control center, and new productivity tools like Workstation Mode for tablets.
Interconnectivity and Future Plans
HyperOS emphasizes device connectivity. Users can potentially mirror their phone screen to a tablet or control smart home devices through the Xiaomi Smart Hub.
Xiaomi has already deployed HyperOS on select devices, including the Xiaomi 13 and 12 Pro series, Redmi Note 12 and 13 series, Xiaomi Pad 6, and Redmi Pad. This initial rollout demonstrates the company's commitment to providing users with the latest software. Looking ahead, Xiaomi plans to integrate HyperOS into upcoming devices, encompassing new smartphones, smart home gadgets, and potentially even electric vehicles like the Xiaomi SU7.
With the wider rollout of HyperOS, Xiaomi users can anticipate a more streamlined, customizable, and interconnected ecosystem of devices.
