Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, Leica Triple Cameras, 6000 mAh Battery Launched

Xiaomi has unveiled the Civi 5 Pro, its latest addition to the Civi series, during an event in China. The smartphone boasts a 6.55-inch micro-curved display with a resolution of 1.5K and a peak brightness of 3200 nits. It features a refresh rate of 120Hz and ultra-narrow bezels measuring just 1.6mm.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen4 SoC, offering up to 16GB of LPPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. A three-dimensional ring cooling system ensures optimal performance by maintaining temperature control through high thermal conductivity graphite and a ring cooling pump.

Camera Features and Display

On the front, it sports a 50MP camera equipped with Samsung's JNP sensor, known for its ultra-transparent nano-prism technology, which enhances photosensitivity by 25%. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with Leica Summilux lens, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens capable of macro shots at a distance of 10cm.

The Civi 5 Pro's display supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It also offers a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and PWM dimming at 2160Hz for enhanced visual experiences.

Battery and Charging

This smartphone is equipped with a substantial 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery that includes an ultra-high silicon content of 10%, resulting in an energy density of up to 854Wh/L. Despite its large capacity, it supports fast charging at 67W.

The Iced Americano special edition stands out with its eco-friendly back shell made from natural coffee grounds. This version features lychee grain leather that not only feels delicate but also emits a subtle coffee aroma, complemented by a light gold metal frame.

Connectivity and Audio

For connectivity, the phone supports Dual SIM (nano + nano), Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C audio, and Hi-Res audio. It also includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support for an immersive sound experience.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is available in several colours: Nebula Purple, Sakura Pink, Black, White, and Iced Americano. Its dimensions vary slightly depending on the colour choice but generally measure around 157.05×73.2×7.45mm with weights ranging from 181g to 184g.

Pricing Details

The pricing for the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro starts at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 35,800) for the model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The variant with double the storage costs around CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 39,400) while the top-tier version with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs. 43,000). The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will likely make its debut in India and globally as the Xiaomi 15 Civi.
