Xiaomi To Launch Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition This Month: SD7+ Gen 2 SoC, 64MP Camera, Confirmed
Xiaomi has confirmed the "Turbo" edition of Redmi Note 12 5G. The Android smartphone will officially launch this month.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo edition smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. It will be the seventh Android smartphone in the Redmi Note 12 series. So far, the lineup includes Redmi Note 12 4G, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition.

Xiaomi Announces Launch Date Of Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G
The Redmi Note 12 series is set to include yet another Android smartphone this month. Xiaomi had previously confirmed that it would launch Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G smartphone in China.
Xiaomi has released a few teasers on Weibo, which reveal the launch date of the upcoming smartphone. Apart from the design of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo edition, the teasers also reveal the smartphone's key specifications.
Xiaomi has confirmed it will launch Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G on March 28. The smartphone will first launch in China, but the brand is expected to offer the 5G-enabled smartphone in other markets, including India.
Xiaomi claims the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G will be the first smartphone in the world to feature the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC. The claim could be true if no other brand launches their smartphone powered by this chipset in the next few days.
Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G Leaked Specifications, Features
The officially released teasers have confirmed the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC. The posters also reveal the backside of the smartphone, which appears to have a triple camera setup with a twin-led flash.
The triple rear camera setup on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G has a 64MP primary camera. The specifications of the other two camera modules haven't been confirmed.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC powering the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G is reportedly a trimmed-down version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The chipset has been fabricated on a 4nm node and features a cluster of three different processors.
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset has a single prime core clocked at 2.91GHz. It is paired with three performance cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and four efficiency cores with a peak speed of 1.8GHz. The SoC has an Adreno 725 GPU. Qualcomm claims the chipset is 50 percent more powerful and 13 percent more efficient than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.
Xiaomi has confirmed the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC powering the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G will be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Some reports suggest the smartphone will ship with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and buyers could get up to 512GB of internal storage.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G should run MIUI 14, which should be based on Android 13. The Redmi smartphone may have an under-display fingerprint scanner.
