In an attempt to counter Huawei, Lei Jun's company Xiaomi is planning to organize an event on May 10th to unveil its upcoming phablet dubbed as Xiaomi Max. This event takes place at Beijing National Convention Center.
Is it Xiaomi vs Huawei?
Previously, the company has shared the teaser by showing the device comfortably fitting into the denim pockets. However, on the other hand, the Huawei is also organizing an event to launch Honor V8 in China on the same day.
Xiaomi Max specs leaked?
Moreover, the Xiaomi Max has been spotted on the GFXBench listing revealing some of the specifications. As indicated by the report, the purported Xiaomi Max comes under the mid-range category.
Enhanced version of Redmi Note 3!
As per specifications, this device comes with similar specifications as Redmi Note 3 that got launched in the Indian market recently. As per the listings, the Max will come with 6.4-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Also, the listing suggests that the mid-ranger is powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 (4x 1.4GHz ARM A53 + 2 x 1.8 GHz ARM A72) processor with Adreno 510 GPU on board.
Discussing the capacity, the Xiaomi Max might come in two variant - 2GB RAM with 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM, with expandable memory option. Also, this rumored specs shows that the device will be shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7 on top.
4G LTE with VoLTE
Further, the report also indicated that the Max smartphone will come equipped with the 16MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and 5MP camera on the front. However, the listing didn't suggest regarding the battery life, but we guess it might pack battery around 4500mAh.
The Xiaomi Max also said to back connectivity options such as 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS.
Anyhow, the pricing of the device is yet to be announced, we have to wait till the launch date which is May 10.
