Xiaomi Mi 4i gets price cut in India, now costs Rs 11,999

Xiaomi Mi 4i was recently available at discounted price of Rs 11,999 for a short period of time during festive sale on Amazon India. Now the company has announced a permanent price cut on its Mi 4i smartphone in India.

The company launched the Mi 4i in India in April for a price of Rs 12,999 for 16GB version, however the phone's price has now been officially reduced by Rs 1000. The Xiaomi Mi 4i smartphone with 16GB of internal storage will now cost Rs 11,999 on a list of retail stores that include mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon India, Snapdeal, The MobileStore and Airtel. This new price will be effective from midnight tonight.

Xiaomi announced the price cut on its Twitter handle by tweeting "It's official! Starting 17th Midnight our favourite #Mi4i 16 GB will be at an all new price of Rs.11,999."

As for the 32GB variant of the Mi 4i, the company has not mentioned about the higher storage capacity variant, which was launched for Rs 14,999, back in July.

As for the specs and features of the Xiaomi Mi 4i smartphone, the Mi 4i has a 5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS OGS display, a 1.7GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core 2nd-gen processor with 2GB of RAM, Android-Lollipop version, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera, a 3,120mAh battery with quick charge, and 4G LTE support.
