Xiaomi Mi 5 and Redmi Note 2 Pro Get China's 3C Certification, Might Launch Soon

Earlier today three Xiaomi phones were spotted while clearing the Chinese Compulsory Certification or the 3C in short. According to reports two of the alleged devices touting model number 2015815 and 2015811 respectively are basically different variants of a single product whereas the 2015055 is a totally different device all together.

As expected the 3C certification listing doesn't give much information regarding the alleged device other than the charging specifications i.e. 5V DC at 2A (Fast Charging). Some reports however claim that the two devices are none other than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro and the flagship Mi5.

Among these the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro was spotted clearing TENAA a few days back. Some alleged hands on image of the device has also got leaked during the past few weeks.

As reported before the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is expected to come with a Mediatek 6795 SoC with cores clocked at 2.2GHz each and 2GB of RAM. This is complimented by a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The main addition over the Redmi Note 2 Prime however is the Fingerprint Sensor located below the camera and the metal body.

On the other hand the Xiaomi Mi5 is expected come with either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC or Helio X20 SoC and a 4GB of RAM. Other rumored specs include a 5.3 inch Quad HD (2560x1440p) display, 6MP front camera and metal build.

Xiaomi has scheduled a launch event on November 24th and it would be interesting to see whether the two device which passes 3C certification is launched. As per reports Xiaomi will be launching their Mi5 and the Redmi Note 2 Pro at the event.
