Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available a week after launch in February

Xiaomi has confirmed its plans to launch the Mi 5 flagship smartphone after the Spring Festival, which starts on February 8th lasting for 15 days.Liwan Jing, Co-Founder anD Senior VP at Xiaomi has said that the Mi 5 will go on sale one week after launch.

However, there are no details whether the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available only in China a week after one week of the launch. Earlier Jiang had said that the Mi 5 was entering into mass production to make sure it does not fall short of demand when it launches.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is one of the most awaited flagship smartphones from the company. Xiaomi had announced that it had shipped over 70 million smartphones in 2015, much below its expectations. Xiaomi has been teasing the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone for months.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is said to have a 5" display. The display could either be an FHD or a QHD resolution.The Mi 5 is rumored to pack a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The smartphone in two variants of 3GB of RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. It will also have a 3,600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 tech.

The Mi 5 will run a MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device could also have noise cancellation. It is rumored to sport fingerprint sensor, NFC and 3D Touch technology. It will sport a metallic body and is expected to come in two colors of Black and White.
