A lite variant of Xiaomi Mi 6 could be on tow.

Xiaomi Mi 6 was launched in April this year with two RAM configurations - 6GB and 8GB. The company did not unveil a 4GB variant of its flagship at the time of its launch. This was pretty surprising as the reports tipped at the existence of a Mi 6 with 4GB RAM.

Xiaomi Mi 6 with 4GB RAM likely pegged for November 11 launch

These reports seem to make sense right now as it looks like Xiaomi is prepping to unveil a variant of the Mi 6 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. The same was spotted on a TENAA listing by My Fix Guide. The report tips that the only change in the device that has been spotted on TENAA is the RAM. The other specifications of the device in question remain to be the same.

There is an increased possibility for this device with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage to be the watered-down variant of the flagship Mi 6. We can expect it to be sold as a special edition model. As per the report, the Mi 6 with 4GB RAM might cost 2,299 yuan making it 200 yuan cheaper than the regular variant. Notably, the regular variant of the Mi 6 with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage space is priced at 2,499 yuan. Also, there is a speculation that this device might be launched on November 11.

To refresh on the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 6, the smartphone was launched with a 5.15-inch display with FHD 1080p resolution. Under its hood, the smartphone makes use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The Xiaomi flagship boasts of dual 12MP cameras at its rear and an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. The device was launched with Android 7.1.1 Nougat topped with MIUI 8 and gets the power from a 3,350mAh battery.

Though the report speculates at a November 11 launch date of the 4GB Xiaomi Mi 6, we need to await an official confirmation from the company regarding the same.
