Xiaomi Mi 6X has been doing rounds in the rumor mill for quite some time now. Just last week we saw a couple of live images and a Weibo user had allegedly found a large stock of the Mi 6X cases in a retailer store and posted images of the same on the platform. However, previous leaks have specifically suggested one thing in common, dual vertical camera setup at the back like the iPhone X.

While we were expecting more details to pop up, a new leak of Xiaomi Mi 6X has yet again surfaced on the internet and it adds some credence to the previous leaks as well as gives us more confirmation regarding the existence of the device.

Basically, the new leak reveals the back panel of the Xiaomi Mi 6X and yet again we see a cut out for a dual camera setup that will be arranged vertically. There is the cut out for the fingerprint scanner as well which appears to be placed below the camera setup a little towards the center.

Apart from that, the panel looks to be made out of a metallic material, possibly aluminum. However, the build seems to be similar to that of Xiaomi Mi 5X and other mid-range devices that we have seen so far from the company. Interestingly, the back panel has been brushed with lighter shade of grey so we can expect the device to come in such color option.

That is pretty much that we can make out from today's leak. However, more details should appear online in the coming days.

While we have seen enough design leaks, there are very few details about the specifications of this device. As far as rumors and leaks go, Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to come with a 5.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Rumors state that Xiaomi could make use of an IPS LCD panel, similar to its predecessor.

The Xiaomi Mi6X is expected to be powered by a new Surge S2 chipset which will have an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A73 cores running at 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A53 at 1.8 GHz. This chipset will likely be paired with Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. But that is all that we have come across until now. While

Xiaomi is also yet to confirm the device officially, reports suggest that Xiaomi Mi 6X could be unveiled during the MWC 2018. However, some have also said that since the Mi 5X was launched in mid-2017, the new handset could be launched around the same time frame.

Meanwhile, some have also argued that Mi 6X could be launched under a different name possibly Xiaomi Mi A2 with stock OS in India.
