The Xiaomi Mi 6 was launched in April last. This year, however, the company is expected to announce its flagship Mi 7 smartphone earlier. Xiaomi has already confirmed that it would be one of the exhibitors at the MWC 2018, hinting at the possible launch of Mi 7. Amidst all these, an alleged render of the Xiaomi Mi 7 has surfaced on a Nigerian website. Unfortunately, the render only shows the rear part of the smartphone.

Looking at the above image, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with a glass panel on its back. This further confirms the possibility that it will be the first smartphone from the company to feature wireless charging. Xiaomi has already said that its next flagship will support wireless charging. In line with the recent rumors, the rear panel also shows the presence of a dual camera setup arranged horizontally.

The cameras are also accompanied by a dual tone LED flash. If you go a bit south, there is a fingerprint scanner. Well, this is pretty much everything we can see from this render. As per the information we have obtained so far, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship processor Snapdragon 845. The company's CEO Lei Jun had previously confirmed this.

If we were to believe the existing rumors, the smartphone will come with a large 6-inch edge-to-edge display with minimal bezels. Since the fingerprint scanner is placed on the back, there are chances of the Mi 7 featuring a full-screen design. Needless to say, the display will have an aspect ratio of 18:9.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 is also speculated to come in two variants. The basic one with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage, and another one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The dual camera setup on the smartphone's back is tipped to be comprised of two 19MP sensors with an aperture of f1.7 and 4x optical zoom. While for the selfie camera, the device is likely to make use of a 16MP image sensor.

The Mi 7 will probably be backed up by a 3,950mAh battery and it will have offer dual-SIM dual-standby support. Furthermore, the smartphone is said to be equipped with AI abilities.
