Xiaomi Mi Max 3 leaked images suggest elongated display, lack of 3.5mm audio jack
Keeping in line with recent reports, the images also suggest that the Mi Max 3 will sport a full-screen design.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3, the successor of last year's Mi Max 2, is said to be in the works. It featured in a few leaks earlier, but today a couple of images of the alleged Mi Max 3 has popped up online. The images show the phablet's front and top view. Keeping in line with recent reports, the images also suggest that the Mi Max 3 will sport a full-screen design.
As per the images, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be fitted with a larger screen than its predecessor. The device also appears to be slightly elongated hinting at the possibility of a display with the aspect ratio of 18:9. Previous speculations claimed that the phablet will feature reduced bezels. Unfortunately, it is not that clear from the above image whether or not the bezels are a bit narrower compared to the Mi Max 2.
The placement of the selfie camera, earpiece and sensor has not been changed. Coming to the second image, it shows the top edge of the Mi Max 3. Interestingly, we can only spot an IR blaster. This means Xiaomi has either moved the 3.5mm audio jack to the bottom edge or decided to drop the feature altogether. If the latter turns out to be legit, then the USB Type-C port will be used for connecting earphones.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is said to come with a large 6.99-inch display. Under the hood, it could be powered by either the Snapdragon 630 processor or the Snapdragon 660 processor. The handset is likely to come in two memory variants; one with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and another featuring 4GB of RAM and 128GB of default storage capacity.
When it comes to optics, the Mi Mix 3 is speculated to be equipped with dual cameras at its back. However, the camera configuration is unknown. It is also believed that the phablet will be backed up by a massive 5,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
As for the pricing, the Mi Mix 3 is likely to cost 1,499 Yuan (approximately Rs. 15,050) and 1,599 Yuan (approximately Rs. 16,050) for the 3GB and 4GB model respectively.
