It is that time of the year when most of the smartphone vendors push the latest Android update to their flagship devices. Interestingly, Xiaomi, the 'Apple of East’ has confirmed that it will be rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its mid-range devices, the Xiaomi Mi Max, Mi Note, Mi 4c, and Mi 4s soon.
The news comes in the form of a Weibo post from one of the company’s representative citing the said smartphones. So far, there’s no information on when the company will roll out the update. However, according to a report, the update should be rolled out sometime in the first quarter of 2017.
In addition to the said devices, the Xiaomi Mi Mix, Mi Note 2, and Mi 5s — the company's latest set of flagship smartphones should also receive the Nougat update. There’s no information on when or if the Redmi series smartphones will receive the update ever, though.
