    Manu Kumar Jain, the VP at Xiaomi and Managing Director at Xiaomi India, has posted a tweet announcing the launch. The tweet reads; "The wait is over.. #MiMIX2 is coming to India! Come Oct 10 and hail the Mi MIX 2 #TheOriginalX @XiaomiIndia RT if you are excited". If you recall, Manu Kumar Jain sent out a tweet on September 11 stating that the smartphone will be launched in India soon.

    The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was originally launched last month in China. Just to recall, the smartphone comes with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with the screen resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. As for innards, it makes use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that is paired with 6GB of RAM. The device is offered in three storage variations of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

    In terms of cameras, there is a 12MP camera at the back, 5MP front shooter. The smartphone is backed by a 3,400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. On the software front, It comes with MIUI 9 atop Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. 

    Talking about the pricing aspect, the Indian version is expected to carry the same price tag that the device is retailing at in China.

    The Mi Mix 2 is priced at RMB 3299 (approximately Rs. 32,390) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, RMB 3599 (approximately Rs. 35,387) for the 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant and finally RMB 3999 (approximately Rs. 39,210) for the 6GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

    There is also a special ceramic unibody edition and this one is retailing at RMB 4699 (approximately Rs. 46,000). It is currently unclear which variants will make it to India.
