Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 leaks again, alleged image shows bezel-less front panel

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is making a lot of noise before its official launch. After some leaked concepts images and an image revealing the rear panel of the phablet, we have now come across a new image revealing the front panel of the upcoming Chinese phablet. Once again the image has been popped up on Chinese website Weibo, and gives a good idea of how the big screen device will look from front.

The leaked image hints that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will flaunt a monstrous screen. The bezels on all the four sides of the screen are extremely thin and there's no trace of any fingerprint scanner or home button on the front panel. This reminds us of the previous leaked image of the rear panel that showed a white ceramic back panel boasting two circular cutouts in the top part. The cutouts must be for a dual-camera setup or Xiaomi's signature rear mounted fingerprint scanner.

The usual connectivity ports, including a Type C USB port and speaker grilles are placed at the bottom, as per the previous leaked image.

Coming back on the leaked image of the front panel, the phablet will supposedly ship with display flaunting rounded corners resembling the displays on LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. Moreover, the front panel also hints towards some curved edges on either side of the screen, which may or may not be the case with the final version of the Mi Mix 2.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to launch on September 11 in China. The phablet received a 3C certification recently revealing that it might ships with a 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Mi Mix 2 is expected to be powered by 6GB RAM with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Soc. The internal storage is expected to be 128GB. There could also be another variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of on board storage.
