Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has now reportedly received a price cut in India. The company's top-end bezel-less display smartphone of 2017 is now available at Rs. 32,999 from its original price of Rs. 35,999 via offline retailers.

Launched in India in October 2017, Xiaomi is cutting down the price of Mi Mix 2 (review) by Rs. 3,000. However, as of now, it is not clear whether the discount is permanent or it is for a certain period. There are reports stating both possibilities. Now with this price cut, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 sits beside its primary competitors OnePlus 5T and Nokia 8. The smartphone is available in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage variant in India.

Having said that, here is what the smartphone has to offer.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes with a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The company has claimed that Mi Mix 2's display has a pixel density of 403ppi, and is complete with DCI-P3 color gamut support. Some of the other interesting features include 'hidden sound-guided speaker' that resonates sound through the display and frame. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has a ceramic body with a 7-Series aluminum frame and a 18K gold plated camera ring on the rear panel.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which is paired with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM as mentioned above. The storage is not expandable. The smartphone is backed by a 3400mAh battery and it runs on Android Nougat 7.1 with MIUI 8 on top. Users can update the device to MIUI 9.

Talking about the cameras, the handset sports a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 rear camera sensor with 1.25-micron pixels, 4-axis optical image stabilization, 5-piece lens, a f/2.0 aperture. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel camera which also supports facial recognition function and it can be used to unlock the smartphone.

The dual-SIM handset offers connectivity options like 4G (support for 43 LTE bands), VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11c, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, gyroscope, and ultrasonic proximity sensor. It measures 151.8x75.5x7.7mm and weighs 185 grams.
