Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Android P OTA leaks
Xiaomi had announced that the Mi Mix 2s will receive the Android P Preview in upcoming days. Xiaomi made this announcement via a post on MIUI Forum.
Back in March, this year search giant Google has announced its first Android P Developer Preview. Along with that, it comes with a number of changes which are now made available for testing on Google devices like Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL.
Soon a non-Google device will receive the Android P Preview. Xiaomi's latest flagship -Mi Mix 2s-will soon get the Developer Preview. Last weekend Xiaomi had announced that the Mi Mix 2s will receive the Android P Preview in upcoming days. Xiaomi made this announcement via a post on MIUI Forum, but later the post has been pulled down.
Nevertheless, few details were scooped from the deleted post. The post reveals that the ROM has a tentative release date of May 8. The date was put forward as a release date, assuming if everything goes well. It is interesting to note that the Android P firmware for the Mi Mix 2s was recently spotted by FunkyHuawei.club the one who has made it available for download.
The exciting part is that Xiaomi may likely make an early entrance to Google latest Android version. It's been expected that other Xiaomi models will receive the Android P Developers Preview as well.
Android P is said to bring new features and improvements. Android P will prevent background apps from accessing camera or microphone without the acknowledgement of the user.
The new Android 9.0 will also prevent secret call recordings and it will also come with an efficient call-blocking feature which will prevent spam calls. It will also carry native support for iris scanning and HID Bluetooth.
The Android P will allow mobile operators to modify the signal strength indicator. The new Android 9.0 will also come with the support for iPhone X-like notch.
Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is said to feature a new Full Screen 3.0 design. The screen is said to measure 5.99 inches packing an FHD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. At its heart, the smartphone from Xiaomi could make use of an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of default memory capacity.
