Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S could be the first smartphone to receive the Android P developer preview
Xiaomi's bezel-less display device the Mi Mix 2S will also get to taste the new flavour of Android. This comes in line with a post that was seen on MIUI forum which now has been deleted.
We all know that the Google devices like the Nexus and Pixel are the ones to receive the latest version of Android. However, latest reports suggest that this time the Google Pixel and Nexus devices will not be the only one to receive the Android update. With the upcoming Google I/O 2018, it would be interesting to see which all devices apart from the Google and Nexus line up will receive the second developer preview of Android P.

According to some sources this time the tech giant Xiaomi's bezel-less 18:9 aspect ratio display device the Mi Mix 2S will also get to taste the new flavour of Android. This comes in line with a post that was seen on MIUI forum which now has been deleted.

The report further suggests that even after the details related to the post have been removed from the MIUI forums, a team of XDA Developers (h/t FunkyHuawei.club) has confirmed the fact that the Android 9.0 firmware is in the development phase for the Mi Mix 2S. Further, the leaked OTA build for the Mi Mix 2S also indicates that Google and Xiaomi could be working together to roll out the preview for the Mi Mix 2S.

However, it is still not clear whether Xiaomi's Android P Developer Preview will feature the MIUI 9 skin on the top or will it give feel like that of a stock android. However, it is being claimed that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S users might soon be able to get the access to Android P's feature before other users. At this moment we can only wait to see the end result on May 8, only then it would be clear if the Chinese technology giant will roll out the Android P developer preview to the Mi Mix 2S users or not. If the company plans on rolling out the Android P developer preview for the Mi Mix 2S, then it would be the first smartphone apart from the Google Pixel and Nexus to feature the Android P developer preview.
