The internals of the device though would be the same. Under the hood is the octacore Snapdragon 615 SoC with 2GB of RAM. On the front is a 5 inch FHD (1920x1080) display with Sunlight technology and a 5MP front snapper. The rear possesses a 13MP Samsung/Toshiba camera and a speaker's mesh present in the bottom along with the Mi logo. Unlike the existing Black and White back covers which sports a matte finish, the colored plates will bear a glossy finish to it.

The limited edition devices are only available in the 16GB variant though at Rs 12,999. So far it seems like the 64GB variant won't get this limited edition color treatment. Nevertheless Gizbot expects Xiaomi to come up with replaceable back cover in these three colors in future. This will enable existing Mi4i owners and potential buyers of Mi4i 64GB to customize their phones as per their taste.
