Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Leica Summilux Lens Confirmed to Launch on July 19 in China

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the launch date for its next foldable phone, the Mix Fold 4. Scheduled for July 19th in China, the Mix Fold 4 promises to be a powerful contender in the foldable market.

Xiaomi's CEO, Lei Jun, will also deliver his annual speech during the launch event, potentially shedding more light on the company's future directions and innovations.

Thin and Light Build

The official images reveal that the MIX Fold 4 will be available in blue, white, and possibly black colors. The phone features a thin and light body with a black camera module that has a rounded shape. The inward folding screen design is complemented by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The device's build emphasizes durability and sleekness, boasting the Xiaomi Dragon Bone Hinge 2.0 and T800H high-strength carbon fiber architecture, making it both robust and lightweight at 226 grams with a thickness of 9.47mm.

Leica Quad-Camera Setup

The MIX Fold 4 will be Xiaomi's first foldable phone to feature a Leica Summilux lens. The camera array includes a 50-megapixel OV50E main sensor, a 13MP OV13B ultra-wide-angle camera, a 60MP OV60A portrait camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 10MP S5K3K1 periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.

For selfies, the device is equipped with a 16MP front camera. This versatile setup supports telephoto macro photography, enhancing the phone's appeal to photography enthusiasts.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and Ample Storage

Under the hood, the MIX Fold 4 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, positioning it as a strong competitor to other high-end foldables like the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, Honor Magic V3, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. The phone is expected to offer up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage in its highest variant, ensuring ample performance and storage capacity for demanding users.

The MIX Fold 4 houses a 5000mAh battery, supporting both fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Additionally, the device features two-way satellite communication, enhancing connectivity options.
