Xiaomi plans foray into the US market with the Redmi 2 Pro
Xiaomi has been eying the US market for a year now. In fact the Chinese OEM kicked off its entry into the US shores by launching their range of accessories in the market. However it seems that Xiaomi will soon launch one of their smartphones into the market.
An alleged device dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi Pro was spotted passing Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The specs listed in the leaked certification images shows a 4.7 inch HD (1280x720), Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC, 2GB of RAM and a 16GB of on board storage.

The device also packs a 2200mAh battery and the standard set of connectivity features including the Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and WiFi b/g/n/ac. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro also supports 4G LTE bands.
Apparently the leaked specs are rather similar to a device dubbed the Redmi 2 Prime. This is device was launched in India a few months back at a price of Rs 6,999. In fact it was the first "Made In India" phone from Xiaomi.

It will be interesting to see exactly where Xiaomi manufactures the Redmi 2 Pro once they enter the US market. Nevertheless the alleged device which passed FCC today is a GSM850/1900 phone that offers support for LTE bands 2, 4 and 7.
