Xiaomi Redmi 14R Affordable Smartphone with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, 120Hz Display, HyperOS Launched
Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi 14R in China under the radar. Not to be confused with the Redmi Note 14 series, which is expected to arrive sometime next month, the Redmi 14R is a standalone device unveiled in China's affordable smartphone segment.
The Redmi 14R features a Snapdragon chipset, a 120Hz display, a dual rear camera setup, and a large battery with fast charging support. Moreover, the Redmi 14R also runs Xiaomi's latest Android 14-based HyperOS software.

Redmi 14R Pricing, Colour Variants
The Redmi 14R price in China is set at CNY 1,099 (roughly Rs 13,000) for the 4GB/128GB model. Moreover, the phone is also offered in 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB variants that will set you back CNY 1,499 (roughly 17,750), CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 20,100), CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs 22,450), respectively.
The Xiaomi Redmi 14R comes in Deep Ocean Blue, Shadow Black, Lavender, and Olive Green colour options. As of now, there is no word on the availability of the Redmi 14R outside China, although it does feel like a downgrade from the Redmi 13 5G and here's why!
Redmi 14R Specifications
The Redmi 14R is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The phone also sports a 6.68-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a peak brightness of 600 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi 14R packs a 5,160 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
For optics, the Redmi 14R features a 13MP primary rear camera with an unnamed secondary sensor. Up front, the Redmi 14R also boasts a 5MP selfie camera housed in a dated waterdrop notch. The Redmi 14R runs Android 14-based HyperOS.
Connectivity options on the Redmi 14R include 4G, 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB Type-C port, and more. The Xiaomi Redmi 14R also boasts a side-mounted fingerprint reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
