Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Series Launch Confirmed: Which Midrange Smartphones Will Be Announced?

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch date for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series smartphones. At least one of these devices will be powered by the new Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset.

The Redmi Note 13 is supposed to include three devices namely the Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. However, there could be more smartphones with slightly varying specifications and features under the series, which could be announced in the future.

Redmi Note 13 Series Launching On September 21, 2023

Xiaomi announced the launch date for the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The series will officially launch on September 21, 2023. Xiaomi should schedule a big event to announce these smartphones.

For now, Xiaomi has restricted the availability of the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones to China. However, most of the smartphones under this series will launch outside China shortly after launching in their home country.

Only three smartphones under the Redmi Note 13 series are expected to be announced. These include the entry-level Redmi Note 13 5G, the Redmi Note 13 Pro, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus.

Xiaomi is expected to offer about five smartphones including the entry-level Redmi Note 13 4G, the Redmi Note 13 5G, the Redmi Note 13 Pro, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, and the Redmi Note 13 Turbo edition. Interestingly, for the first time, the company is expected to offer the Turbo edition outside China.

Redmi Note 13 Series Specifications, Features

The Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, TENAA certification revealed recently. The Full HD+ display should support a 120Hz refresh rate and hide an under-display fingerprint scanner

The Pro and Pro+ variants in the Redmi Note 13 series should be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, which would be paired with up to 18GB RAM and up to 1TB internal storage. There should be multiple RAM + storage variants starting from 12GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will feature a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 200MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. There could be a 16MP front-facing camera.

Previous leaks have claimed the Redmi Note 13 and the Redmi Note 13 Pro will pack a 5,120mAh battery which will support 67W fast charging. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will ship with a 5,000mAh battery, offering 120W fast charging support, the tipster had added.

All smartphones under the Redmi Note 13 series should run Android 13 with a custom layer of MIUI 14. They should support 5G, but there could be a 4G-only variant for select markets.
