Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro second sale to happen next week: Better save the date
If you wanted to buy the new Xiaomi Redmi Note phones but missed out on the sale, there is some good news for you. Xiaomi is hosting another flash sale next week.
Xiaomi just concluded its first-ever flash sale of Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India today. Both the new Redmi Note phones were made available on Flipkart and Mi.com However, we are yet to learn how the devices fared during their first sale.
Having said that, if you wanted to buy the new Xiaomi Redmi Note phones but missed out on the sale, there is some good news for you. The Chinese smartphone maker is all set to make the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro available to consumers in another flash sale that will happen on February 28. The sale will start at 12 PM. So if you want to get your hands on either of the devices then you might have to mark your calendars or set notifications for the date.
The devices will also be available via Mi Home stores across the country but should come in limited stocks. Xiaomi's partner retail stores will get the devices in few weeks time and once the stock arrives it will go on sale as well.
Xioami Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro Price
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant and goes up to Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The device is available in multiple color options like Black, Gold, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold.
As for the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the device is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 16,999. It also comes in Black, Gold, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold color options.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with a 5.99-inch full-HD (1080x2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 450-nit brightness, 84 percent NTSC color gamut, and a 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2GHz. It is paired with Adreno 506 GPU and either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The device offers 32GB or 64GB storage options and both are expandable via microSD card.
As for the cameras, there is a12-megapixel rear camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus), EIS (Electronics Image Stabilisation) and an LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel camera with an LED selfie flash.
The smartphone is backed by a 4000mAh battery and it runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat. There is a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. The dual-SIM handset offers connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB and packs. The handset measures 158.5x75.45x8.05mm and weighs 180 grams.

As for the cameras, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a dual rear camera setup, with a 12-megapixel primary sensor sporting an aperture of f/2.2 and a 1.25-micron pixel size, while the 5-megapixel secondary sensor has a f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel size. The camera also features PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus), EIS (Electronics Image Stabilisation) and an LED flash. Up front, there is a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor that is accompanied by an LED selfie-light module.
