Xiaomi Rolls Out Its Latest MIUI 11.1 Update
Xiaomi has recently rolled out its new MIUI 11.1 which is an incremental update over the MIUI 11. The new update is based on Android 10, unlike MIUI 11 which was tried and tested for both Android 10 as well as Pie devices. The users who are expecting Android 10, the MIUI 11.1 release should seem like a much-anticipated update.
The new update is likely to get shipped to devices like the Mi 8, Mi 8 Pro, Mi 8SE, Mi 9 Lite, Mi 9 SE, Mix 2S, Mi Mix 3, Mi 9T, Redmi K20, Mi CC9, Poco F1. However, it remains unclear whether the update will roll out to the Redmi Note 8 Pro as well. The update will take some time to get released globally after it is successfully tested with no bugs.
Xiaomi MIUI 11.1: Features You Should Know
The new update offers an "Ultra Power Saving Mode" to compatible devices. The mode when enabled will allow only 5% of power drop per day. The MIUI 11.1 brings in "Focus Mode" which is a new Android 10 feature released as part of Digital Wellbeing. The users can enable this mode for a period ranging from 20 to 90 minutes. The mode will help you in staying away from your handset so that you can focus on other things.
The users can only use the emergency mode and the camera, once the focus mode is activated. The new version comes with an upgraded always-on display, using which the users can insert any of their photos to the always-on screen. The update is testing "Sunlight Mode" that will make the screen of your phones brighter under direct sunlight even when the auto-brightness is disabled.
The users can also see a new animation feature for screenshot capture and native options to send or snap a scrolling screenshot. Besides, the update offers a new home screen and introduces a bedtime feature that will help users in tracking their sleep. Lastly, due to the update App Lock has received a transparent background and the camera gets a new Vlog mode.
