Xiaomi teases November 11th event: Mi 5 Launch is Near?
Xiaomi has been teasing the release of two new smartphones since Wednesday. Xiaomi has been posting on Weibo, hinting at the phones it will soon release yet remaining tight lipped as to when the two smartphone will be launched. The teaser image posted last week on Weibo reads "Mi Dual 11" hinting at the November 11 date. "This time we play the big! New phone finale debut at 0:00 on November 11 onwards," thereby confirming the launch of a smartphone. It also states, "Become the first users of the new mobile phone" showing a smartphone hidden under a curtain.
As per the latest tech rumors, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is rumoured to sport an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC, a processor family previously seen on the Mi Note Pro. It is also rumoured that the phone could use the Snapdragon 820 SoC. However, Xiaomi had claimed in a separate report stating that it would use the MediaTek deca-core Helio X20 processor, instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is likely to include some high end specifications - the Mi 5 is rumored to come with 4GB of RAM; Adreno 530 GPU; a 5.3-inch QHD with 1440x2560 pixels resolution display with pixel density of 554ppi; inbuilt storage variants starting from 16GB that are all non-expandable.The phone has a 16 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 3030mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 2 Pro on the other hand is likely to arrive in two variants - A one with a fingerprint sensor on the back panel below the rear camera while the feature could be given a miss in the other variant.
It is tipped to share the same specifications as the Redmi Note 2. The only difference would be an inclusion of a fingerprint sensor and a metal build. For reference, the Redmi Note 2 features a 5.5-inch full-HD display, an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz clubbed with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 2GB RAM. The phone could have a 13 MP rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Its likely that the phone could be powered by a 3060mAh battery
