Xiaomi to unveil the 'SuperNote' Redmi Note 12 5G series in India on January 5

Xiaomi India recently announced that the Redmi Note series has crossed the 300 million mark globally, making it one of the most popular series. Out of this number, 72 million of them were sold in India itself. Continuing the legacy of the much-appreciated and most popular Note series in India, Xiaomi is all set to take the wraps off its latest Redmi Note 12 series on January 5, 2023. The brand has officially announced that the 'SuperNote' series will feature three models in India: Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G.

While the new Redmi Notes bring significant upgrades in the hardware department, this will be the first time the classic variant in the Redmi Note 12 series will support 5G connectivity. It will feature a power-packed combo of a 120Hz AMOLED Display and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. Redmi Note 12 Pro will get Super OIS featuring the Sony IMX 766 sensor and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G will mark the India debut of HPX Sensor with a 200MP camera set-up, co-developed with Samsung. Redmi Note 12 5G features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Note 12 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon® 4 Gen 1 for smoother performance coupled with dual 5G band support. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery and a 33W in-box fast charger.

Contrary to its global variant, it comes with a triple camera setup featuring a 48MP primary sensor along with an 8MP Ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, the user will get a 13MP selfie camera.

Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G Specifications:

The Redmi Note 12 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor and a 5000mAh battery along with a 67W fast charger. With a triple camera setup, it features a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), an 8MP Ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro camera. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G smartphone will sport a 16MP on the front for selfies and video calls.

This will be India's first phone with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX primary sensor with OIS. Delivering an ultimate fast and smooth performance, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G also sports a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor. Considering the features and specifications, it would be great if the brand launches the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ around Rs 30,000 in India. Similarly, the Redmi Note 12 Pro if priced at Rs 25,000, and the Redmi Note 12 if priced under Rs 20,000 in India could be a great deal.
