Xiaomi working on Metal clad Redmi Note 2 Pro reportedly featuring a Fingerprint Sensor

After having launched the Redmi Note 2 a few months back, Chinese OEM Xiaomi is working on a ‘Pro' version of their mid-range phablet.

If rumours from China are to be believe the Redmi Note 2 Pro will come with some notable changes like a metal back and fingerprint sensor. Rather the tipsters have also provided a leaked images of the upcoming Xiaomi device to verify their claims.

The metal back plate of the Redmi Note 2 Pro reveals a Fingerprint ID placement just below the large camera hole. Apparently the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro may come with the same 13MP camera seen in the recently launched Redmi Note 2/Note 2 Prime. However unlike the single LED flash, the Redmi Note 2 Pro will supposedly come with a dual tone LED flash.

Allegedly two more hands on images of the device were also leaked on Weibo as few days. As of now it is believed that the Redmi Note 2 Pro will come with a 5.5" Full HD (1920x1080p), Snapdragon 808 Hexa core SoC with cores clocked at 1.8GHz each and an Adreno 418 GPU. This will be complimented by a 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of onboard storage.

Nevertheless if at all the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is launched, expect it to be priced similar to the Xiaomi Mi4c. However tipsters in China are hinting at a launch price of 999 Yuan (Rs 10,000).
