Xolo Black 1X smartphone confirmed to launch on October 28


Xolo announced that it will unveil the second phone in its series of smartphones under the 'Black' brand and is dubbed as the Black 1X. The company has confirmed Wednesday, October 28th as the official date for the launch of its Xolo Black IX. The phone is likely to be launched online viia Twitter.

The predecessor of Xolo Black 1X, the Xolo Black was launched in July under the Black brand. The Xolo Black was priced at Rs. 12,999 and went for sale exclusively via Snapdeal. The upcoming Xolo Black 1X is also likely to be available exclusively via online stores.


The phones predecessor, the Xolo Black was powered by a second-generation 64-bit Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) SoC. The erstwhile phone had a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP camera on the front. The Xolo Black 1X is likely to come with 32GB inbuilt storage with no guesses on expandable memory.

The Xolo Black has a hybrid feature - a dual-SIM slot where one of the SIM card slots doubles up as MicroSD slot. Something similar is expected of the Black 1X where some features from the earlier phone are retained. It is most likely that the Xolo Black 1X will support 4G LTE with dual SIM.

The Geekbench listing showed that the Xolo Black scored 617 in the single-core test and 2697 in the multi-core test. The GFXBench, on the other hand, indicates some additional details about the handset such as presence of accelerometer, GPS, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and also an LED flash module.

Xolo is yet to announce bundled offers with its new Black IX smartphone. Xolo had tied up with Vodafone to provide bundled offers. The Xolo is available with 1GB of free data and access to Vodafone music Unlimited for two months.
